Sadasiva Iyar (Edit), Folk Dance Songs of Batticaloa) Re Edit, Kannaki Ilakkiya Koodal, Batticaloa. மட்டக்களப்பு வசந்தன் கவித்திரட்டு எனும் நூலானது சதாசிவ ஐயர் அவர்களால் 1940 ம் ஆண்டு தொகுக்கப்பட்டு வெளியிடப்பட்டது. இது ஒரு முக்கியமான தொகுப்பாக இருந்தபோதும் இந்நூல் அரிதாக ஒரு சிலரிடம் மாத்திரமே இருந்தது. இதன் சமகாலத் தேவையை உணர்ந்து இதில் சேர்க்கப்படாத இன்னும் சில பாடல்களையும் சேகரித்து மீள் பதிப்பாக கொண்டு வரவேண்டிய அவசியத்தை கண்ணகி இலக்கிய கூடலுக்கு என்னால் முன்வைக்கப்பட்ட போது. கண்ணகி இலக்கியக் கூடல் அதனை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு அந்தப் பணியினை என்னிடம் ஒப்படைத்தனர். என்னால் அது சிறந்த முறையில் மீள் பதிப்பாக வெளிக் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டது. Mattakalappu Vasnathan Kavi Thirattu (Folk Dance Songs of Batticaloa) was compiled and published by Sadasiva Iyar in 1940. It is a vital source of collection of the rare songs which have been becoming extinct due to various reasons. Understanding the context, Kannaki Ilakkiya Koodal, Batticaloa has decided to publish this classic. I took charge the task and edited the book. It was published by Kannaki Ilakkiya Koodal in 2018.

ISBN: 978-624-6164-30-0. மட்டக்களப்புத் தமிழர்களின் நிகழ்த்துகை வடிவங்களில் மகிடிக் கூத்தும் ஒன்றாகும். இது கடந்த 45 வருடங்களுக்கு மேலாக நிகழ்த்துகை செய்யப்படவில்லை. இதற்கான பிரதி கூட பாதுகாக்கப்படவில்லை. இது பாதுகாக்கப்பட்ட வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை உணர்ந்து மகிடி ஆடிய பல்வேறு கலைஞர்களின் நினைவில் இருந்த பாடல்களைக் வாய்மொழியாகக் கேட்டு எழுதப்பட்டு வெளியிடப்பட்ட பிரதியே மகிடிக் கூத்தென்னும் இப்பிரதியாகும். Makidikoothu had been an ancient dance form of the Tamils of Sri Lanka. I understood that it was performed before 45 years and there is no evidence that it was perforend after this. It had been performed vastly as it gave comedic aesthetic taste.  The songs and verses have been transferred generation to generation orally and these were not available in any written form. Understanding to preserve this intangible cultural heritage I involved dedicative to collect the songs and verses from several artists for many years. Finally, I have edited and published the book in 2023.

Ravanan was the brave king of Sri Lanka, his small mistake it’s brought big war and he was died. The play was directed by.Prof.S.Mounaguru different period. This book describe that the experience of the performers.

  1. சிவரெத்தினம்.சு. (நெறியாள்கை). ‘தீர்வு’ 1998ம் ஆண்டு கிழக்குப்பல்கலைக் கழக உலக நாடக தின விழாவில் அரங்கேற்றப்பட்டது. S. Sivaretnam (Directing Drama) “Solution” It was staged at the World Drama Day Festival at Eastern University, Sri Lanka in 1998.
  2. சிவரெத்தினம்.சு. (நடிகர்) பேராசிரியர் சி.மௌனகுரு அவர்களினால் 1993ம் ஆண்டில் நெறியாள்கை செய்யப்பட்ட புதியதொரு வீடு நாடகத்தில் குழு நடிகர். இது இலங்கையின் பல பாகங்களிலும் மேடையேற்றப்பட்டது. S. Sivaretnam (Group Acting) Acted as one of chorus actor in “Puthgiyathoru Veedu” a modern Dance Theatre which was directed by Prof. S. Maunagura. It was performed and staged in many places throughout the country.
  3. சிவரெத்தினம்.சு. (பாடகர்) பேராசிரியர் சி.மௌனகுரு அவர்களினால் 1992ம் ஆண்டில் நெறியாள்கை செய்யப்பட்ட கண்ணகி குழுத்தில் எனும் அரங்க நிகழ்த்துகையில் குழுப்பாடகர். இது இலங்கையின் ரூபவாகினியில் ஒளிபரப்புச் செய்யப்பட்டது S.Sivaretnam (Singer) being a singer in “Kannaki Kuththil” a Ritual Songs, directed Prof. S. Maunagura. It was recorded and telecated by Rupavahini in 1992.
  4. சிவரெத்தினம்.சு. (நடிகர்) பேராசிரியர் சி.மௌனகுரு அவர்களினால் 2000ம் ஆண்டில் நெறியாள்கை செய்யப்பட்ட ‘இராவணேசன்’ எனும் வடமோடி நாடகத்தில் கும்பகர்ணன் பாத்திரம். இது இலங்கை ரூபவாகினியில் ஒளிபரப்புச் செய்யப்பட்டது. S. Sivaretnam (Acting) Acted in the role of Kumbakarnan in “Iravanesan” Vadamodi Theatre dance which was directed by Prof. S. Maunagura. It was recorded and telecated by Rupavahini 2000.
  5. சிவரெத்தினம்.சு.(யோகன்.சு) (எழுத்தாளர்) ‘வாக்குமூலம்’ எனும் சிறுகதை;, ஈழ எதிலியர் மறுவாழ்வுக் கழகம், சென்னை அவர்களால் வெளியிடப்பட்ட அகதியின் தேடல் எனும் சஞ்சிகையில் பிரசுமாகியது. S. Sivaretnam (Yogan .S.) (writer) The short story is ‘Statement’ which was published in ‘Search of Refugees’ (Akathiyin Thedal) by Organization for Eelam Regugees Rehabilitation, Chennai.
